Story in this passage

Israel preserves Benjamin’s remnant

After nearly destroying Benjamin, Israel grieves that a tribe may disappear but is constrained by an oath not to give wives to the survivors. The people strike Jabesh-Gilead for not assembling and then allow Benjaminites to seize wives during the Shiloh festival. The book ends by repeating that everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
