Story in this passage

The Jews defend themselves

On the day chosen for their destruction, the Jews assemble and overpower their enemies. Officials support them because Mordecai’s influence has grown. The Jews kill those who attack them, including Haman’s ten sons, but do not take the plunder. Esther requests a second day in Susa and the public display of Haman’s sons’ bodies.
