And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2
The word of God is the agent of change in the life of a Christian.
It is a system God has designed for a man who has received a New Life to become changed effortlessly.
The only work the man needs to do is to ensure he takes in this word; what the Word does to the man is the responsibility of the Word.
When you get into a pool, you don’t fight to get weight – you let the water do its work.
Interestingly, Jesus said in John 15:3 that you are cleansed by the Words He has spoken.
The alignment of your mind with the mind of God determines how much of God’s power, grace, and ability flows in your life.
To see your finances change, you must take in the Word of God in that regard – and the Word will make you do what it talks about.
When you do what it talks about, you do see the result God designed for you.
To see yourself living right, take in the Word of God concerning His righteousness in you, and you will see His righteousness being expressed in you.
It is automatic. If you have not seen the result of the Word you are taking in yet, you need to take in more.
You should soak in the Word until it causes a change in your life.
You might think, well, what if I need to do more than just take in the Word? – The word guides you and makes you take the right actions.
Taking in the Word of God concerning prayer will kindle a burning desire to pray in your heart, and that will lead you to pray.
Like wine, the Word of God can intoxicate you to make you behave in a way that is influenced by its power.
If you feel lazy or hesitant to do every other thing, summon the effort to take in the Word – it will open the door to every other thing.
