All who cross this earth into the life beyond without Christ go to hell.
That sounds wicked, harsh, and painful.
But it is the truth, it is the truth that non-Christians will never agree with or listen to.
It is a sad truth Christians wished was a probability; maybe there is a Divine provision that could rule it out.
Because they have friends, neighbours, colleagues, in fact, family members whom they love and cherish. Some of them are nice people – and they can’t just imagine all of those people burning in a horrible place forever.
I am sure that some Christians somewhere in their heart even think God is not fair, but it is the kind of thought you don’t admit. In case that is the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, so they don’t ruin their slim chances of making Heaven.
But today, let’s first face the truth.
If you ever thought God is not fair, don’t worry – that is not the sin that condemns you eternally.
So you are safe – the Sin against the Holy Spirit is simply rejecting the conviction of the Holy Spirit to Righteousness and to Salvation.
God is love, just and kind. He allows us to reason things out; he doesn’t shut our logic, after all, He gave us a brain that reasons.
On the contrary, when we look at the whole picture critically, what we can see is the justice and the love of God.
First,
- God made it possible for all men to be saved
- He made the process of salvation easy for all men
- He created a consciousness in man that can admit the existence of a Supernatural creator – such that even without a preacher, man can admit there is God. Nature bears witness to that.
It is not the desire of God that any man should perish – Heaven is big enough for all mankind.
But here is where the problem lies.
Man is naturally in a fallen state. With a corrupted Spirit.
But this man cannot access heaven in his natural state – because he cannot just live in it.
Even the Christian man will have to receive a new body – an immortal one before entering this new home.
The Christian qualifies for this because his Spirit has been renewed.
It’s more like this is the gatepass – this is what makes you worthy to access this place.
A loose example will be – a human being cannot naturally live in the depths of the sea as he is – without dying.
He was not made for that environment; to live there, he must be changed to live like a fish or die.
So people who will go to hell are the ones who don’t have what it takes to live in Heaven.
They are not the ones that God hates; they are the ones who did not accept the ticket – that was freely given.
This event doesn’t even need bouncers to shut them out – even if they approached it, they can’t see it, they cannot perceive it, because it takes a different kind of Spirit and body to access it.
In fact, they cannot locate it – it’s a place in Christ.
Just like there are angels and demons currently in the world, but no matter how open your eyes are, you won’t see them except in the Spirit.
Heaven is a Spiritual abode that can be accessed by only those who have been recreated through their faith in Christ Jesus.
The realization of this truth should spur us to help others receive this new life so they can be saved from Hell and also have the kind of Life that God designed for man to have.
