Vengeance on the Midianites

God sends Israel against Midian for the Baal Peor seduction. Twelve thousand men defeat the Midianite kings, kill Balaam, capture women and goods, and bring the spoil back to the camp.

Setting
The campaign against Midian before Israel crosses the Jordan.
