This morning, my wife woke me up – she pointed towards the window.
The day was very bright, and it looked like it was far past the time for my children’s school.
She had an attitude of we were sooo late.
But in response, I picked up my phone, checked the time – the story was different.
We still had enough time to prepare the kids for school.
She responded based on what she saw (which is normal), and I responded based on what is written.
I also saw, but I saw from a different perspective.
I looked at the time – one that is Sure and Steadfast.
Never changes, never lies (except you have a bad battery).
No matter what the day looks like, the time will remain correct; it doesn’t respond to your situation, whether or anything else.
If follows its programming – it’s literally a clockwork.
The Clock bears witness to the truth at all times, no matter what the fact is.
And that is a big difference.
The fact is, the day looked unusually bright, like it was 9:00 am from common knowledge – but the truth had to be gotten from what was written.
In this situation, the clock became like the Word of God, sure and steadfast, unmoveable, doesn’t adapt to anything or situation, everything else works around it.
Nobody changes time to suit their desires – it cannot happen. It is what it is.
This is exactly how the Word of God is: you work your way around it until it produces results in your life.
It doesn’t matter what you’re seeing; you need to see the written.
What has been written concerning that situation? What has the Lord said?
That is the real truth.
The fact might be that you have a boil in your body, but what is the written truth?
I know sometimes it may look like you have tried to make the Word work, but you don’t have the result yet. Well, the truth is, if anything is wrong, it has to be on your end and never on the side of the Word of God because it is infallible.
Just like a clock. If you frequently go late to work and you adjust your waking-up time, yet you still get late to work.
This means you need to adjust the time further, not for you to say ‘Time doesn’t work’, I have tried waking up earlier, yet I am still late.
Time is a scam!
Nobody can be early, etc.
Well, some people are punctual, and that is the testament that you can also do it.
We stick to the truth in the Word of God until it produces results.
One of the characteristics of Faith is persistence; you have not had faith if you have not persisted in it while resisting the Devil.
If you stay long enough, it will work.
Yes, sometimes, it may take a while; it only means the process is ongoing – you have to wait in faith until your result is birthed.
The trees that grow the tallest take a long while before any sign of germination takes place, while some seeds, like beans or maize, are quick to show a sign of growth.
This is similar to how faith works.
We live, move, and have our being in the Word of God (Jesus is the Word).
This is a gentle reminder that you are not the only one holding on in Faith, your situation may look peculiar, but it is not – that is what the Devil tells you to make you discouraged.
We are many.
Many of us are holding on in faith, fighting the good fight of faith, and daily resisting the Devil.
Joyful are we, that victory is certain.
