One of the most consequential changes that happened to Adam was becoming sense-led and controlled.
The natural man’s curse is that he takes only what he can see, feel, touch, hear, and physically perceive as real.
In fact, that is the worst part of the fall.
It is the real bondage that man fell into; it’s the real limitation.
It’s not demon, the devil, or any circumstance; the sensuality of man is his biggest limitation.
Even though all of those perceptions are real and they affect man’s life on a day-to-day basis, they are not all that exists.
There is much more to the world of man than what his 5 senses can relate to.
Whether we perceive this or not, there is a spiritual part of this world that greatly affects what happens in the physical.
The fact that man doesn’t perceive the spiritual doesn’t stop it from existing.
Interestingly, man was not made like that originally – what we term as spiritual now was his immediate reality, just like the physical is.
We can still see some traces of that when a man makes a judgment through intuition, and the intuition is right.
God also gave us His word, so that we can know what the truth is beyond our physical reality.
The physical reality is just a fraction of the full existence of man, but through the Word of God, we can see the full picture and the true one.
The one we can see physically does not exist; it is only real in human perception and can be easily changed.
The scripture says that things that are not seen are more real than things that are seen. (2 Cor. 4:18)
Because the seen can be destroyed, but the unseen cannot.
The more we are able to live in the realm of the unseen while superimposing it on the perceived – the more victorious we are in our Christian walk.
When we ‘feel’ sick, it is a physical perception, but it has no root in reality. Why?
- If the sickness was caused naturally, Jesus paid for our pains and sicknesses and gave us healing Isa. 53;5), so there is no legal foundation for that sickness to exist, even when it came through our errors.
- If the sickness came through the influence of demons, Jesus has destroyed all principalities and powers (Col. 2;15), giving us all authority over them. So they don’t have an authority over us, and no right to inflict any pain on us. Again, there is no legal foundation for that sickness.
Because of all these, we take our stance and demand justice.
Justice is the claiming of the full benefit that Jesus paid for with his blood when God declared us discharged and acquitted.
We claim this right through the name of Jesus – and that name is above all sickness, all demons, all name that is named in Heaven and on Earth (Philippians 2:9-10)
Hallelujah.
When we feel low, down, or stagnated, that feeling comes from a perception of our financial stance in comparison with others (which is wrong), a dissatisfaction with our life progression, etc.
But regardless of what the situation is, the Word of God declared to us that we are Royalty, a peculiar people (1 Peter 2:9).
It doesn’t matter what the situation is – the truth is what God says.
So we stand with the truth until it becomes a reality.
In the process of standing with the truth, we receive instructions and guidance from the Holy Spirit on how to change things in the physical. As we take steps in these directions, we see the results of what God has designed for us in the scriptures.
But the first step is to discover what God has said about us, accept it, and work with it until it makes us what it talks about.
